When the painting was about three quarters finished and I could see the finished effect, I still had not put in the flowers reflection. Something told me to wait and the model would not be back for a couple of days anyway.

After studying the painting for two days I realized that there was no model that I could have put in the composition but rather the beautiful flower was the beautiful woman in the mirror. Like the caterpillar that turns into a butterfly a metamorphous had taken place in my painting without my knowing it.
